Winter is a time for reflection, restoration and quietly recharging. We can be guided by nature’s wisdom for how to make the most of this stripped back and mystical season. In the same way that we can look at the true form of the trees in their leafless state, Winter offers us a time for cosying up on long, dark nights and taking stock of our hopes and dreams.

Welcome in this very misunderstood season and let its frosty tendrils weave some insight and magic into your life. The day will begin with an inspiring guided meditation in the woodland around the fire and end with a cosy Sound bath in the Meditation room. On this Nurture Day we will look at how to keep the light shining on even the darkest of days, and prepare ourselves for cosy times ahead. We can ponder these questions while we mindfully craft a winter arrangement.

This Well and Truly mix of crafting and guided meditation is guaranteed to warm you from the inside out and give you plenty to contemplate in the dark nights ahead.

Tasty two-course lunch and cosying hot drinks provided.

Yes, but unfortunately due to the small number of spaces on the course Well & Truly is unable to give a refund for cancellation if less than 2 weeks ahead of the scheduled date. If you can find a friend or family member to take your place that is fine. You can receive a full refund if more than than 2 weeks is given to enable Well & Truly the chance to make the place available to someone else.

What shall I wear?

For meditations, loose comfortable clothing for sitting, lying & gentle movement. We remove our shoes to go into the meditation space so do bring cosy socks if you like to keep your toes toasty.

For retreat days, footwear that is suitable for walking on uneven ground & the weather conditions. Loose comfortable clothing & in the Autumn, Winter & early Spring wear plenty of layers. We will go inside to warm up at points in the day.

Is the farm easy to find?

Yes, we are about a quarter of a mile from the Bainton Roundabout. You will be sent an email a week before attending with full directions & what to look out for to find the farm. Directions will include What3Words as well as Sat-Nav instructions if preferred. There is plenty of private parking on arrival.

I find it hard to sit on the floor. Will I be comfortable enough to meditate?

No problem, you can sit or lie down for all practices. You can use a cushion to sit against a wall & there are plenty of supports & props to aid comfort.

I don't like shutting my eyes, will this be OK?

That's fine, you don't have to shut your eyes to meditate. There are images on the walls to use for focus if you would prefer. If outside, you can pick a point of focus.
